Our Programs

Six programs designed from the ground up to meet the real needs of Black and African youth and families in the Waterloo Region.

Special Needs Family Support Program

BAYO is launching dedicated support for Black African families raising children with disabilities or special needs in the Waterloo Region. We are currently conducting a Community Needs Assessment to shape this program — and we need your voice.

Employment Services
We support individuals seeking full-time, part-time, and youth employment opportunities. We also connect employers with qualified Black African candidates, helping build a more inclusive workforce in the Waterloo Region.

We offer individualized and family-centered mental health support for men, women, youth, and children. Our services are delivered in a culturally safe environment by practitioners who understand the unique experiences of our community.

We assist families and groups navigating private refugee sponsorship and help newly arrived families transition and integrate into Canadian communities with dignity, guidance, and ongoing support.

Special Needs Families
Dedicated navigation, peer support, and advocacy services for Black African families raising children with disabilities in the Waterloo Region. We help families access services, understand their rights, and connect with one another.
